Pros nice gfx, nice storyline (although very similar to lines to fable/the witcher), some lvls are very... gruesome.. will remind you of hell from DooM 3's lvls, well played music (atleast at the main menu), you can do stuff what you probably wished you could do to Bastilla from KOTOR
ending makes you wanna time travel to Dragon Age 2 release date, which is around Q1 2011...
Cons game difficulty from will vary should you choose the not so right path in the 'non-linear' gameplay - which can be a pain in the arse AI sometimes acts stupid too many in-fight pauses to tell every friggin party midget what to do... in some situations.
Advice DO NOT TAKE WARRIOR CLASS =D (mage, rogue with dual weapons are best) Better learn money making techniques to overcome "oh god i have to kill that boss, but have no gold for pots" situation
Other Thoughts Dog idea from might be taken from Fable One of the boss chicks (at the elf mission) looks like the elf chick from The Witcher
Anyone tried this DLC of Dragon Age called Dark Spawn Chronicles?
Module Description: Play as the darkspawn! The city of Denerim, jewel of Ferelden, girds itself for war. As a hurlock vanguard, you alone hold the power to make thralls of your fellow darkspawn and drive them into the heat of battle. Heed the archdemon's call--Denerim must burn!
A look at an alternate history: what if your character had died in the Joining ceremony, and the Grey Wardens marched under Alistair's command instead?
Command genlocks, hurlocks, shrieks, and even the mighty ogres.
Complete the module and unlock an epic Darkspawn item in DA:O and Awakening.
Didnt try that 1 cause the Awakeaning was lame so kinda lost my interest.Beeing a darkspawn doesent rly apeal to me anyhow :-). Btw I always chose Warri/Rogue if you take the warri and learn dual weps hes vry cool and kills a lot faster then with shield. As for boss fights I always let Morriggan freez its ass and Wyn group heal. Each fight pice of cake.If yo uwant to save up cash do all the chanters board quest to gather up cash then buy up Elfroots from dalish camp and flusk from any other merchant best is Bodan Morrigan already has the hp pots making skill so just gather recepies and ingredients and its all cool.Plus with the dlc's its made a lot easyer to walk trough the game with the new hidden goodies.I noticed if I do all the side quests after Ostigar I get good lvl ups and nice skills before I even start the main plot.Anyhow tought I share my experience a bit :-).
Hmm, next time I install a game, Ill install the DLC's first. Awakening was kinda nice, having slotted stuff and the ability to add +HP, +Fire/Cold/Electricity dmg... it was something like Neverwinter Nights 2, where you built and spent money on your fort...
I liked it.. the storage was a good add to the game.
My coment coverd only the story line but your right slotted stuff was deffo a +.I you reinstal and add all dlc's then do them before the main plot and youll solve it in no time considering those get you stuff wich are worth a nice amount of gold also the extra exp is nice. Alas there is a bug ingame donno if you noticed. You can lvl up till lvl cap if you have the nerves at the Ostigar mission when Duncan sends you out to get the blood and the scrolls.Get the blood and return talk to him then again and again till you dont want exp anymore :-).Altough this glich is solved if you get awakeaneing.Vry important that yo udont go after the scrolls just after you lvld till yo uwanted.
It seems Dragon Age 2 will not related to Origins.... so to discover the fate of Morrigan, you gotta download the Witch Hunt DLC
The dreaded Archdemon has been slain and the advance of the darkspawn halted by a lone, heroic Grey Warden. The kingdom rejoices, but at least one question remains: what happened to Morrigan? The sorceress joined the Wardens cause, but it is said her true purpose was not revealed until the eve of the last battle. She vanished into the shadows, and while rumors claimed she crossed over the mountains into Orlais no trace of her path could be found. She was never heard from again... until now. Nearly a year has passed since the Archdemon's death, and word has reached the Wardens that Morrigan has returned to Ferelden. She has been sighted in the southern wilderness where she was first encountered. Is it truly her? If it is, then why is she here and what secret does she carry with her? The Warden heads into the forest to find out and tie up this last loose end once and for all.
Bioware has announced a new bit of Dragon Age: Origins DLC that will offer players a chance to find out what happened to Morrigan after the defeat of the Archdemon.
Titled Witch Hunt, the DLC is due on September 7th for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It will be priced at 560 Bioware or Microsoft points, equalling out at around $7.00 USD or £4.80 GBP.
"The sorceress joined the Wardens cause, but it is said her true purpose was not revealed until the eve of the last battle," says the official synopsis. "She vanished into the shadows, and while rumors claimed she crossed over the mountains into Orlais no trace of her path could be found. She was never heard from again... until now."
"Nearly a year has passed since the Archdemon's death, and word has reached the Wardens that Morrigan has returned to Ferelden. She has been sighted in the southern wilderness where she was first encountered. Is it truly her? If it is, then why is she here and what secret does she carry with her? The Warden heads into the forest to find out and tie up this last loose end once and for all."
While the synopsis offers a sense of mystery about the whole adventure though, the features list is a little bit more to the point and explicitly confirms that players will have a chance to confront Morrigan about her departure.
The DLC will also introduce a new character, a Dalish warrior called Ariane who is also hunting for Morrigan.
I wonder how they thought of making that dlc since according to your choices in the end the story can develop in 2 ways.If yo uaccept her offer to save you goes 1 way if not goes in another 1.Peeked my curiosity.
